My Dream for 2012

In 2012 I hope for sparkling snow that is as white as a cloud. If it snows I will:

  • go sleighing over the icy field by my nan’s
  • build a humungous snowman with a tiny head
  • throw snowballs when my mom and dad do not see
  • throw fake snowballs because it makes me laugh when my dog Molly thinks that they are real balls.

When Molly gallops like a pony after the snowball, she tumbles over and gets snow on her nose. She pursues me all around the frosty trees until I give her a real ball.

Really enjoyed reading this, your descriptions made me feel as though I was in a snowy park with you doing all these things.

  2. You have used some lovely similes here Phoebe, and I love the idea of a huge snowman with a tiny head. If we get some snow this winter I will have to come to the park with you to see Molly trying to chase the snowballs.

Phoebe I can picture the scene. I see a very happy family in the sparkling snow. The description of Molly galloping in the snow made me laugh. I am very impressed with your choice of words too. Well done and keep it up.

I love the story, especially your choice of adjectives. It makes me wish for some snow this Christmas which is unusual as I don’t particularly like cold weather. If it does snow perhaps I’ll join in the fun.

What lovely use of language! I can really picture the “sparkling snow” and I would LOVE to help you build your “humongous snowman”. 🙂

  12. Hello Phoebe!
Now, I don’t like the way the pavements are all slippery when it snows but this wonderful description has made me see that snow can be fun. I do hope you will continue to write for the 100WC in the new year!

Happy New Year to you Phoebe. This is a well thought out piece of writing, your word choice and use of similes makes your writing interesting to read. Snow can be really fun to play in, it sounds like Molly enjoys it too.

    Have a great 2012.

  14. Well done on this 100 WC entery Phoebe! I liked how you used a list in your story. I bet that really makes you laugh when your dog runs after fake snowballs! It made me laugh just reading it! Keep writing like this and one day you will become a star. Maybe next time try to add more adjectives in your writing. Keep up the great work!
